He attended Penn State University, School of Metallurgy and graduated in 1955 and did post graduate work at Butler University, Indianapolis and Wright State University, Dayton.
Beginning in 1955, Mr. Dewalt worked with Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation for twelve years as the Indianapolis Office District Manager in charge of sales and office functions. In 1967 he was promoted to Regional Office Manager, which put him in charge of sales and office functions for the Dayton, Cincinnati and Indianapolis offices. In 1970 he received a national position with Allegheny, becaming the Manager of Administrative Services Budgets for 17 nationwide Field Sales offices reporting to the Vice President of Sales and served at the discretion of the CEO and the Board of Directors.
In 1976 Mr. Dewalt moved to Florida, taking the position of Marketing & Sales Manager for Fullerton Metals Company in Hialeah, Florida. Finally, Mr. Dewalt started his own metal distributing company, Kodiak Metal Services, Inc. in St. Petersburg.
